Value Investing Hub started as our own internal system. Over nearly two decades, we built our Dashboard indicator to find and value businesses, developed a research process to analyse them, and refined a portfolio management approach that has compounded capital through every market environment.
We have been investing our own capital as a small family office for almost two decades. In that time we compounded at 34% annually overall, and 45% over the last eight years.
We did this quietly. No funds to raise, no clients to answer to, no media appearances. Just us, our process, and the businesses we owned. For most of those 19 years, that was enough. We had no intention of ever making this public.
What changed was the people around us. Friends asked how we did it. Family asked if we could teach them. Other investors asked if we would share our framework. And closer to home, our own children are reaching the age where they are starting to ask the same questions. They want to understand how money works, how businesses work, how to invest the right way.
That mattered to us more than anything. Our first thought was to write a book. So many investors before us have done it, and there is real value in that format. But the more we sat with the idea, the less right it felt. A book is set in stone the moment it is printed. Our strategy is not. It is a living approach that keeps evolving as we learn, as markets change, as new tools appear, and as new businesses come into view.
Our edge cannot be captured in pure text. It needs examples, visuals, real positions, real numbers, and real updates. It needs to breathe. So we built an interactive platform instead.
Something that stays current. Something of this time. Something our children, our family, and our friends can actually experience and use, not just read once and shelve.
We started in 2023 with our first ideas and the careful documentation of our own process. From there it grew into the platform that we are almost ready to launch. We have put a serious amount of time, energy, and our own money into building Value Investing Hub the way we wanted it to exist: thorough, transparent, and genuinely useful.
We built it from the perspective of where we were 20 years ago. What would we have wanted? A tool that does the valuation work in seconds instead of hours. A clear research process instead of vague advice to "do your homework."
Education that teaches the actual mental model, not surface-level rules. Full transparency from someone with skin in the game, not a track record built on backtests. That is what this platform is.
Our edge is not a secret formula. It is a process. A repeatable set of steps. A discipline. Sharing it does not weaken it. If anything, putting it into words has sharpened our own thinking.
We stay anonymous on purpose. The work should speak for itself, not our faces. Our portfolio will be fully public, our positions timestamped, our tools are the same ones we use every day.
